Minor Arcana
Seven of Swords
Swords learns stealth: a mind moving around force, sometimes wisely, sometimes dishonestly, always asking whether the method changes the meaning.

- strategy
- secrecy
- theft
- tactics
- evasion
Upright meaning
Not every truth moves in a straight line. The Seven of Swords brings strategy, secrecy, tactical retreat, and the uneasy question of what must be hidden to survive.
Reversed meaning
The hidden plan may be exposed, confessed, or abandoned. A clever tactic can become self-sabotage when secrecy outlives its purpose.
Symbolism
- carried swords — A plan taken into private control.
- left swords — Evidence, witnesses, or consequences that remain behind.
- veil — Secrecy used as tactic or avoidance.
- dawn edge — A hidden move close to exposure.
Lore
The Seven of Swords slips between tents before dawn, carrying five blades and leaving two behind like witnesses. The air itself seems to ask whether survival has become theft.
In play, it can mark sneaking past guards, hidden motives, stolen evidence, strategic silence, a trickster NPC, or a shortcut that solves one problem while creating distrust.
