The fire is tired but still lit. The Nine of Wands asks for endurance, sensible guarding, and respect for what past hurts have taught you.
Reversed meaning
Guarding may have become isolation, suspicion, or refusal to heal. The wall that saved you may now be blocking help.

Lore
Nine upright wands stand in a rough line under a low moon, and one worn staff among them glows. You are tired and wary near the end of a long struggle but still standing, and the card asks how much guarding is still useful.
In daily life, it appears when you are near the end of a gauntlet, carrying evidence of what happened, and deciding how much caution is still useful.
